BoA is an architectural CAD software that allows the design of a building in volumetric 3D. From the 3D model building, 2D views are automatically calculated: plans, cuts, sections, facades, conical or isometric views. 2D views are assembled in a layout sheet to form a building licence or some other printed document.
BoA software is dedicated to architects and building professionals (builders, interior designers, kitchen designers, decorators, land surveyors, town planners, etc.).
BoA is available on Macintosh. The latest version, BoA 4.3, runs under OS X on the Macs using Intel chips. BoA exists in French and English version.
Designing a building in BoA is done by working on a 3D model. A 3D file can either contain 3D, 2D or a mix of 2D-3D elements. 2D elements can be located anywhere in 3D space. The building model can be constructed on a single file or be splited into partial files. A library of customizable 2D and 3D objects can simplify the design of repetitive parts of a project.
BoA can read or write many different file formats, the main ones are: BoA, DXF, DWG, Architrion, text, PDF, JPG, PICT, VRML. Furthermore the file formats that are not recognized directly by BoA (spreadsheet, word processing, graphics, etc..) can be converted into PDF file and then used in a BoA file.
