First version of BoA, running under 68000 based Macintosh.

BoA 2.XXX

BoA software version running under PowerPC based Macintosh. All versions of this family run under natively under Mac OS 9. BoA 2.4.6 is the latest version of this family.

BoA 3.XXX

This is the previous version of BoA. Versions of this family are used on Power PC based Macintosh (G3, G4, G5). These versions work natively under OS 9, OS 9 classic and OS X.

BoA 4.XXX

This is the current version of BoA. Versions of this family are used on Intel based Macintosh. These versions work in OS X.

How to find the version number

Each release of BoA receives a commercial version number and a production version number. These two version numbers are written on a dialog box which appears when the item "About BoA" is called. This item is located in the menu BoA menu (under OS X) or the Apple menu (under OS 9). The production version is more accurate. It consists of the year and day of the year when the version was compiled.
